Placemaking is the act of creating an environment which brings happiness, health and a sense of community to the workplace. We strive to create perfect places for our business partners and their employees.
Innovation takes place in and out of the lab. And spaces that provide recreation, refuge or a change of scene can accelerate the creative process. Whether it be an after work gathering around the fire pit in one of our pocket parks, or coffee in our spectacular outdoor pavilion or a rack of free bikes ready to transport colleagues in need of a break to a nearby bike trail, King Street takes care to create spaces that recharge and refresh.
Access to public transportation is critical for our tenants to retain top talent. Several of King Street’s properties are located within walking distance of public transportation, but for those that aren’t, King Street provides shuttle service to transportation hubs.
Enjoy riding your bike to work, taking a morning jog or stretching your legs at lunch on the bike path outside your office. The Minuteman Bikeway and the Fitchburg Cutoff Path are a few of the bike trails located adjacent to our properties.
Places to sit, think and meet out of the work place are critical to innovation. We build spaces ranging in size from two person indoor seating alcoves to pocket parks and other exciting outdoor spaces.
We promote energy conservation and alternative modes of transportation. We provide shared bicycles and bike storage facilities and connect to public transportation with shuttle services.
We support our tenants’ goals for healthier living by constructing facilities such as gyms and locker rooms. We also enhance connections to neighborhood amenities such as bike trails and arrange discounted memberships at nearby health clubs.
King Street’s Science|Lexington campus features daily food truck service at lunch from several top-rated vendors in a lively atmosphere.
