Sara McTyeire Previously Oversaw Pharma Company GSK’s 7 Million-Square-Foot Real Estate Portfolio
A Boston firm that is developing more than 1 million square feet in North Carolina’s Research Triangle has hired a new executive director to oversee its portfolio in the region.
As the new market leader, Sara McTyeire will manage acquisitions, operations, asset management and leasing for King Street Properties, a private developer, owner and operator that specializes in life science real estate.
“The Research Triangle market is a priority for us and we are making significant investment in the area,” Thomas Ragno, principal and founder of King Street, said in a release announcing the hire.
The company entered the market in 2020 when it teamed with Nuveen Real Estate to buy the eight-building Eastridge at Perimeter Park in Morrisville for nearly $76 million.
In 2021, the company bought another 75 areas in Morrisville for Pathway Triangle, a 1million-square-foot, master-planned advanced manufacturing campus that is under construction along McCrimmon Parkway.
McTyeire joins the company from global biopharmaceutical company GSK where she oversaw its 7 million-square-foot portfolio as director of real estate and asset management.
Her career also includes two years with JLL as a transactions manager and, before that, a decade with Bank of America.
