King Street Properties along with Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company and approximately 120 workers celebrated the ‘topping off’ of the first of two life science buildings at The Landing, a 4.5-acre campus in Burlingame, California featuring over 503,000 square feet of lab and office space along with tailored amenities for tenants and the public.
The ceremonial beam was signed by over 175 people from the project team, general contractor, subcontractors, design team and other project partners, and was raised in recognition of the hard work performed on site.
“We’d like to thank everyone here today for their dedication to The Landing,” said Sonia Taneja, Managing Director, King Street. “Because of the diligent effort and expertise of each member of this team, we are able to celebrate this significant milestone, and King Street is another step closer to delivering an exceptional life science campus in the Bay Area.”
“As we hoist this final beam, I’m reminded of the strength and potential that defines both the structure and the vision it represents for the city of Burlingame,” said Tara Delaney, Vice President, Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company. “We are honored to be working with King Street Properties and Helios Real Estate Partners as part of their exceptional team and to be contributing to the realization of this exciting project”.
The two buildings at The Landing, 1699 and 1701 Bayshore Highway, are situated around a central public plaza and much like other King Street projects, will include a number of hospitality-driven amenities such as an indoor/outdoor café, a conference center, lounge areas, and a wellness-focused fitness center. The development features views of the San Francisco Bay and is just minutes away from the Millbrae transit station and San Francisco International Airport.
