King Street Properties, specializing in purpose-built life science space, welcomes anti-aging innovator to The Landing at 1699-1701 Bayshore Hwy, Burlingame CA
Burlingame, CA (Feb. 12, 2025 ) — King Street Properties announced today that Generation Lab, a life science innovation firm focused on anti-aging, will relocate from San Francisco to take immediate occupancy at The Landing, in the mid-Peninsula town of Burlingame, CA.
Generation Lab, led by co-founders CEO Alina Rui Su, COO Michael Suswal and CSO Dr. Irina Conboy, PhD, is building upon new research to take breakthroughs from the lab straight to consumers, “not just to measure aging, but to reverse it,” according to the firm. Backed by venture funding from ACCEL Partners, Samsung and others, Generation Lab will occupy a 12,300 square foot suite of lab and office space in The Landing at 1701 Bayshore as its first significant growth space since founding in 2024.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Generation Lab to The Landing and help them along their path of growth,” said Sonia Taneja, managing director overseeing West Coast projects for King Street. “Our sole focus on purpose-built space, optimized for life sciences, enables firms to do their best work, and provides the amenities, light-filled workplace and access to the outdoors that today’s employees want and need.”
“Our mission at Generation Lab is to create the ‘Ageless Generation’ by providing the most comprehensive, accurate, and actionable aging diagnostics available,” said co-founder Alina Su. “We’re already pioneering the future of longevity diagnostics through our SystemAge™ platform, which serves over 400 clinic partners worldwide. The Landing presented an opportunity to quickly meet our growth needs, and its specialized workspaces and amenities offer a great new home for our team.”
“Generation Lab’s decision to expand at The Landing reflects continued demand for move-in ready, purpose-built space that supports growing life science companies,” said Grant Yeatman, Managing Director at JLL. “Spec-suites at The Landing allow well capitalized early-stage teams to scale quickly while providing the infrastructure and flexibility life science tenants need.”
The Landing, offering over 503,000 square feet of space across two lab/office buildings, recently completed a series of spec-suites, move-in ready spaces to accommodate firms such as Generation Lab. Full-floors of up to 46,500 square feet are also available for customized build-out. The property just debuted a bistro café, The Apron, with an outdoor patio adjacent to the campus’ half-acre plaza that features generous gathering spaces and three large artworks.
As a pivotal hub for growing life science companies, The Landing features extensive hospitality-like amenities, ideal proximity south of the South San Francisco biotech cluster, nearby attractions such as the San Francisco Bay Trail and waterfront, and great transportation access via the Highway 101 corridor, SFO International Airport, Caltrain, BART and more. Collaboration spaces are spread throughout the campus, including a conference center, boardroom, and tenant lounge with shared and private spaces. For wellness, The Landing features a gym with a private training studio and spa-like locker rooms.
Among The Landing’s attributes that appeal to biotech/life science firms are 15-foot floor-to-floor heights (20-foot heights on the ground floor), 33-foot and 44-foot structural grids for lab planning efficiency, robust MEP systems, and infrastructure to support a 60% lab, 40% office split. The campus is supported by a structured parking garage, which includes ample vehicle parking as well as storage for 45 bicycles.
King Street is a national firm specializing in life sciences properties in America’s core life science clusters including Greater Boston, New York City, Raleigh/Durham, San Diego and the San Francisco Peninsula.
Leasing for The Landing is handled by the JLL team of Grant Yeatman, Cole Smith, Mark Bodie, and Toss Vallentine. Perkins & Will is the architect for The Landing. Landscape architect is SWA Group. General contractor is Hathaway Dinwiddie.
